CLINTON – Shortly after 9 p.m. on  Mar. 18 Clinton Police received telephone complaints about a loud party from a residence at 7 Hurd Bridge Road. When Police arrived they found that resident Ellen Williams, who turned 48-years-old that very day, was throwing a keg party for several under-age youths.

Ellen L. Williams of 7 Hurd Bridge Road was arrested at 9:23 p.m. and charged with delivery/sale of alcohol to minors.

Five Westbrook youths were issued court summonses for under age drinking: 19-year-old Kevin L. Shugrue, 19-year-old Matthew R. Gonzsalves, 18-year-old Nicholas Curcio, 20-year-old Tyson E. Nolf, and 19-year-old Patrick A. Nutt,

Jr. Police also issued summonses to 19-year-old David Mason of Haddam, and 19-year-old Jessica Danielle David of 7 Hurd Bridge Road #2.

Jessica Danielle David was later arrested at 10:37 p.m. and charged with breach of peace for disorderly conduct.

When Police first arrived at the scene they heard numerous voices, music, and someone on the other side of the closed front door say, "The police are outside."

Once police had gained access to the duplex unit they found one youth lying on the floor, another with slurred speech insisting he was not drunk, and another asking, "What should we do?"

Police took court evidence photos of plastic cups containing quantities of beer, an open whisky and vodka bottle, and a beer keg with the tap inserted. An open pizza box was on the stove. Among the 11 or 12 people at the party eight were youths under the age of 21.

Police seized the keg.

When Police began writing summonses one youth became belligerent, and began arguing with the officers. Other guests at the party had to calm the youth down, according to police.

Area neighbors who wished to remain anonymous complained to police that Williams had been throwing parties for the past few weeks.
