-Jason J. Marchi, Harbor News Correspondent

WESTBROOK – On Friday, May 26, at approximately 9 p.m. a white male, operating alone and on foot, robbed the Dunkin Donuts located within the Westbrook Exxon service station located on Route 153.

According to a press release issued by Detective Scott Wisner of the Connecticut State Police at Troop F in Westbrook, the suspect entered the store, displayed a handgun to the counter attendant, and demanded money. The attendant handed over an undetermined

amount of cash to the suspect, who then fled the store on foot. No one was injured during the incident.

The suspect is described as a white male, mid-40s, about 5'-9" tall, medium build, and shoulder length brown hair. At the time of the robbery the suspect was wearing a blue sweater, baseball cap, dark pants, work boots, dark sunglasses to mask his face, and his hands were covered by gloves evidently to prevent leaving any figure prints.

According to the store manager the suspect was caught on videotape by the store's surveillance system. Police are using the evidence on the video for their investigation.

State Police ask that anyone with any information regarding the robbery to please call the Connecticut State Police at Troop F in Westbrook at 860-399-2100.
